Casa Kauai Retreat Center

Welcome to the Center for Human Rights & Constitutional Law’s (CHRCL) Casa Kauai Retreat Center. Casa Kauai is a rental home located in Kauai, Hawaii.  This rental home is operated by the CHRCL, CHRCL is a non-profit, public interest legal foundation dedicated to furthering and protecting the civil, constitutional, and human rights of immigrants, refugees, children, and the poor.

The Center’s Casa Kauai rental home offers a retreat program to non-profit groups, people engaged in social justice work, scholars, the Center’s staff and Board members.  The home is a perfect place to visit for organizational or project retreats, workshops, and personal rest and recuperation away from the day-to-day stress of their activities for social change. We encourage use of the retreat center for 3-7 day workshops of 6-12 people.

The Casa Kauai rental home is located on a private bluff property with spectacular views of the ocean framed in between classic tropical foliage. Whale watching is glorious from almost every room. Large and well built, this Robert Easton designed spacious three-level home has six bedrooms (1 king bed, 3 queens and 2 singles), a study, large living room and dining area, five bathrooms, sauna, and several outdoor decks and a Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. The house has exterior redwood siding and stained (weathered) redwood interiors finishes, and a beautiful garden with mature landscaping. The kitchen is equipped with high grade appliances and is fully stocked with cutlery. The living room and several bedrooms have postcard views of the ocean and surrounding tropical foliage. In appropriate cases, use of the retreat center is made available without charge. A low fee may apply depending on the users’ ability to pay.
